Valkyrie Financial Advice was set up by Lauren Peters, a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, who has been working in financial services since 2007.

Lauren began her career at a stockbrokers on a four-week temporary administration contract, but ended up staying for six years, completing many financial advice qualifications during this time, before moving on to positions as a Pensions Adviser, Wealth Manager and Private Client Director at top London firms.

On advising clients, Lauren said: "Financial advice is about empowerment and peace of mind".

"At the very heart of it is asking the right questions to find out what my clients truly want to achieve in their lives.

I don't believe the ultimate goal is to see numbers going up on a statement. Instead, it's about discovering real life ambitions and addressing genuine concerns and then constructing a plan to realise those amibitions faster whilst delivering peace of mind that, along life's great journey, there are safety nets in place to protect against all eventualities."

Outside of work, Lauren lives in Chelmsford with her partner of 17 years. She is an avid film and travel fan and can usually be found at the local pub quiz night, at comedy events or in the stands at the West Ham women's football ground.
